Goodman Air Conditioners and heat pumps will always have the first two numbers of the serial number as the year of manufacture.
Month of Manufacture
You could tell the month of manufacture as well from the serial number by the next two numbers. This month would be 09, meaning the ninth month of the year, or September.
This Goodman AC was manufactured in September of 2014.
Goodman Air Handler Age
The same rules apply on Goodman Air Handlers as AC’s and Heat Pumps. The first two digits is the year of manufacture.
