The wind mitigation inspection can take about 30 minutes to an hour. A home inspector will need to walk around your property, crawl into the attic, and look at all your openings.

Why Did I Lose Insurance Credits?

In rare instances, homeowners may lose insurance discounts. This happens because a previous wind mitigation inspection was filled out improperly, meaning a previous inspector marked certain home attributes that were not there. Fortunately, these cases are rare and most homeowners end up saving every year on their insurance premium.

Waypoint did a great job with my inspection on my first home. I’ve had another inspection with a different company before for a different house I almost purchased. I was not happy with that company and they were even giving me jobs to do, such as checking outlets for power etc, to help them make the inspection faster. It made me sort of uncomfortable because I’m not an inspector and did not want to feel I am missing something because I don’t know what I’m doing. I did not have to worry about that with Waypoint obviously. My inspector was very thorough. Great attention to detail. He took his time to get everything right while I was able to talk with my family and realtor about the house. I was given a detailed report the same day. Highly recommended. Thank you!
